Loeffler Randall Love

I've been lusting after these Loeffler Randall shoes FOR-EV-ER, and finally got my hands on a pair via eBay last week. I really love the way they look with my LR Bedelia bag, too.

rainy day woman

This is an odd day for me to be jumping back on the posting bandwagon, seeing as I'm not 100% on this outfit. But in the end I decided to go with it anyway. I've been having a hard time putting together anything inspired in the mornings. It didn't help that my office gave us jeans day for the entire month of March, thus enabling me to be really, really lazy. So anyway, I kind of like this combo for its quirkiness, but I'm not sure the proportions are great.

I actually created this around these Tashkent booties that I love but rarely wear. They're kinda hard to work into an outfit, but they're so unique & fab that I have to remember to pull them out every now & then. I'm loving how they work with my bag that I got in Venice. I got it at a tiny workshop/shop where this couple makes their own gorgeous leather handbags. I had a hard time deciding between about 10 different styles I liked, but in the end went with this mixed leather satchel. The ends are alligator & the body is an ostrich-texture lambskin. It's so luxe & lovely, and the fact that it's one-of-a-kind is super awesome.

ITALIA!

Buon giorno everyone! I've been a huge slack since we got back from our trip, so once again, sorry for the late update. We had a fantastic time in Italy, and I came back an ENGAGED woman!! Yes, Rod proposed to me in Italy. At a castle. In Tuscany. I don't think it could get much more perfect than that, but check it out for yourselves!

Just after he asked me. :) I was totally surprised!

The ring - Asscher cut, my absolute favorite

Right after he proposed, this rainbow appeared - we could hardly believe it.

Even after I said "yes," Rod put up with a long grueling day of me shopping in Florence. Here are the results:

And finally, a couple of outfits since I got back, with my newly aquired Italian threads:

dress: Max Mara, shoes: Miu Miu (Rod surprised me AGAIN by getting me these as an engagement prez), bag: Hoakon Helga (on Etsy), earrings: Haute Hardware

close-up of the most fab shoes ever. I've barely taken them off since we got home.

Here's a variation of the same outfit, but with blue tights & my Bakers Dior knock-off gladiator heels. I like both combos.
with my Mango trench & Ray Ban shades

Ciao for now!

last day!

Today is the last day before Rod & I go to Italy - I am crazy with excitement! Unfortch I have to be at work today, but I really love my ensemble. I made this skirt last night (when I should've been packing) with this awesome clearance fabric I found - only $3/yard. The whole outfit feels very schoolgirl, but in a good way.

skirt: Haute Hardware, cardi: AA, ruffle top: Club Monaco, boots: Frye, necklace: Early Jewelry, earrings: Michelle Chang

This will be my last post for a couple of weeks, but I'll have tons of pics to share when I get back. Ciao, bellas!

new shoes

I've been dying to try this brand of shoes, Chie Mihara, for a long time. I love their styles & I'd heard they're comfy as all get out, unfortunately I can't afford them until they're 50% off or more. And usually at that point my size is sold out, until this pair came along. And they ARE every bit as comfortable as I've been told, which is a bonus.

And another outfit from Wednesday, just for fun:
dress: Diane Medak, shoes: Hype, necklace: Early Jewelry, earrings: F21
Happy Friday everyone!!

day & night

When it rains it pours - I have two outfits to share today. I based my daytime outfit around this skirt that I made in my Make class last week. I love the print, and the color palette makes me think outside the box a little bit. I get so caught up in black/grey/navy sometimes (see my next outfit) that I forget about how fun brown can be. Like with pink.

sweater: Banana Republic, skirt: by me, bag: Marc Jacobs, boots: Frye, tights: Givenchy, earrings: Haute Hardware

Then this evening we went out for dinner at one of my favorite spots, The Porch. I wanted to dress up a little bit & also use my new Goldenbleu clutch. Goldenbleu is going out of business which sucks, but it meant me getting this $$$ clutch for next to nothing, so there's the silver lining I guess.

first day!

I'm not so on the ball with my internets this week, having started my new job on Monday, but even though it's late I wanted to post my first day ensemble. This marks the start of more post-worthy outfits & more frequent outfit entries (I hope!).
